Alok Nandan, PhD
Partner at First Rays Ventures
Alok is a Partner at First Rays Ventures where he has led investments in Arcion.io (acq by Databricks). He was previously a Partner at Emergent Ventures where he had investments in software infrastructure companies like Acceldata.io, Arcion.io and others. He started his career as a product guy in Microsoft where he was one of the founding product managers of Windows Azure. He was also part of two startups that exited (YuMe which IPO'ed in 2013 on NYSE) and Tempo.AI (acq by Salesforce in 2015). He has a PhD in Computer Science in distributed systems.
